Product Description Ideal Security’s Standard Pneumatic Door Closer for storm doors or screen doors, with its elegant design, offers silent and secure closing to lightweight to medium weight aluminum, steel, or wood storm doors. Compatible with door thicknesses ranging from 7/8" to 1 ¼”, this pneumatic screen door closer is both easily installable and conveniently customizable to your preferences. The intuitive storm door closer bracket design and speed adjustment screw offer capabilities for adjustable, automatic door closer strength. The Standard Door Closer can either be used to replace previous standard closers on your storm door or screen door, or implemented as a new first-time installation. If it is being used as a replacement, ensure that you install it at the same location as the existing or previous unit. If it is a first-time installation, you can place the storm door closer at the top, middle, or bottom of your storm door. The Ideal Security Standard Door Closer for storm doors comes packaged with all the necessary installation parts, such as screws, pins, a jamb bracket, a washer, and a door bracket. Review: Look for the screw to adjust spring tension. - Well, I'm not certain how you can go wrong on a black standard door closer but I did! The one we received is perfectly fine, it's just user error. I removed our last one and as I did so I noticed The screw at the right hand side of the closer and realized that is used for the spring tension. If I had just noticed that when I was having a problem with the door slamming in my face, I wouldn't have needed to buy a new one. That being said and investment already made, I decided to put the new one up just so I didn't have to mess around with the spring tension. Works like a charm.

Well, I'm not certain how you can go wrong on a black standard door closer but I did! The one we received is perfectly fine, it's just user error.
