For the US, power adapter is needed. *by A***A on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2019* This is a good generator. In Russia the power plugs and sockets are different. You need a voltage converter and power plug adapter to be able to use this silver ionizer here, in the US. It can be purchased at any store, including Amazon. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Convenient silver water without fuss *by J***J on Reviewed in Canada on April 7, 2017* Mixed feelings about this device. It has some pluses and some negatives. Should you buy it? Have a look at my lists and decide for yourself.Pluses:- Fast shipping and seller is quick to respond.- Device is self-contained. Easy to use.- According to design it will consistently produce a very low ppm solution (35mcg/L), or a 10ppm "concentrate" (10mg/L), depending on the mode you choose.- Comes with basic operating instructions in English. Not really sufficient to understand its full method of operation, but enough to press the buttons and get started.- Comes with a very well written 60 page book outlining the uses of colloidal/ionic silver with many case studies. Unfortunately it is all written in Russian. I used the Google Translate app in image mode to read most of it. Very well done.- Easy to clean the silver electrode with supplied pipe cleaner.Negatives:- Cannot use 0ppm distilled water, the standard for creating any ionic solution. The device electrodes do some kind of water detection and will not operate in less than a 10ppm starting solution. This is bad, and additional water mineral contents will negatively bind and react with silver. I was told to use tap water. Anyone with experience in this area will find this suggestion to be very unscientific.- For North American use it requires a 110V AC to 12V DC adapter at 100ma or more, with center positive terminal (standard). The included adapter is 220V only. Not a big deal if you have an extra 12v adapter laying around.- Only one silver electrode.- Does not do electrode polarity switching. Since there's only one silver electrode, this doesn't matter much.- Max 10ppm "concentrate" mode does not offer the ability to create denser solutions.- No stirring.- Silver particle size is not very small, as expected for a 12V circuit at 100ma. This is a compromise between speed of operation and quality of end product.One way to avoid the impurity problem via tap water is to add drops of pure ionic or colloidal silver into a liter of distilled water, just enough to get the machine to operate (to detect at least 10ppm dissolved solids). Once your first batch of silver water is done, fill up a dropper bottle and add 20 or so drops to every starting liter, it will speed things up and the quality will be stable.Overall, I think the manufacturer has designed a good product that does away with all the complications of using such a device. Pick up a 12V DC adapter with 2.1mm tip and you're good to go.
