Review: This book is perfect - I used this book for an art unit in preschool. It's PERFECT, working on multiple levels. It gets the kids thinking about cave men (and women and boys and girls) which many kids are surprised to learn about. It gives a totally plausible possible explanation for the origins of the first art, and it highlights a fundamental purpose of art--to let others see what you see. It's beautiful. The kids listened in complete silence, paying attention to the whole story.

Linda a forma que o livro apresenta a narrativa a partir dos pensamentos do personagem principal, que é cheio de energia e também muito inventivo. Interessante também a viagem até à pré-história, quando o leitor pode ter contato com seres já extintos. Super recomendo!

A lovely book in its own right but so useful alongside a Stone Age History unit - it really helped the children imagine life in Stone Age times and recognise that we are learning about real (albeit different) people.
