Review: the build quality is excellent, the amplification is powerful and sound detailed and ... - I noticed that the reviews here are for the A-100, so I specifically wanted to share my thoughts on the A-150. This is a 75w per channel power amplifier, so no volume control is present as in the A-100. You will need to connect this to a preamplifier. I was initially quite skeptical about all the glowing Emotiva reviews and forgive me for saying I assumed they were from hardcore fans of the brand. I now stand corrected, the build quality is excellent, the amplification is powerful and sound detailed and clear, my music seems more dynamic ( was previously using a 55w pc class D streaming amp ). With this Emotiva I usually don't have to turn the preamp volume beyond 12 o'clock to listen in a living area with 20 ft ceilings. I am using it in conjunction with a Jamo subwoofer. As for the packaging, it was triple boxed! 2 Emotiva boxes and then an desertcart box. I really could not be happier with the price and performance, I will be looking at other Emotiva products in the future as a result of my experience with this unit.
Review: i hooked this up with my old denon 5. ... - i hooked this up with my old denon 5.1 a/v receiver i bought 23 years ago with pioneer FS52 , boy this thing make my old system a new and power machine, the sound is more powerful and tight...also i have a yamaha front firing power subwoofer. emotiva really rocks. next in mind would be the 5 channel for my living room home theater system.

I noticed that the reviews here are for the A-100, so I specifically wanted to share my thoughts on the A-150. This is a 75w per channel power amplifier, so no volume control is present as in the A-100. You will need to connect this to a preamplifier. The sound is absolutely amazing runs super clean and very powerful to boot. This amp is built with attention to detail just like the larger amps they have its heavy and made of all metal. I was skeptical about this amp but now that's it's running my sr7011 rear hight speakers I realize its capable of running bigger speaker. If your thinking of adding this amplifier do it you wont be disappointed.
