It's a huge part of the humor, while wearing the costume. I used a 16" long piece of bungee to tie them together, making them easier to carry. While I was at a recent Halloween party, I made everyone that wanted a photo with the squirrel, had to hold my nuts. It was hilarious! **Q: as someone whose 6'3" and very skinny, how will this fit on me?** A: My son was 5'10 and about 180 lbs and he had space inside the costume and extra room in length. This is an awesome costume! **Q: What is the "standard" size?** A: Not sure what the "standard" size means. I'm 6' about 195 lbs. it fit me just fine. The costume was a huge hit was a fun halloween. My husband dressed up as Bob Ross and we projected videos of Ross hanging out with baby squirrels he used to rehab. It was a hit with kids and parents on Halloween! This squirrel costume will get you attention because it’s so detailed. It was very large on me, but I’m only 5’4 with a petite frame. It was easy to adjust for my size by simply rolling up the legs at the bottom (I tied the extra material with elastic and then tucked it into the costume so I wouldn’t trip). The head also requires stuffing which I did with paper. Absolutely amazing! Well my nickname is squirrel 🐿️ so this costume was perfect. I'm only 5ft so it was a little big. And if you want to be warm, this costume is made of the hottest polyester. It's soft but hottt! the tale is an inflatable insert, so getting in and out of the car a few times, it kind of deflated a little bit. but a limp tail kind of added to the charm of a drunk squirrel. I had a blast and my friends did too. The included nuts have very small Velcro squares that will attach anywhere on the polyester costume. however because the squares are so small they don't stay attached very well. Everyone loved it and the costume gets a ton of attention. People are constantly playing with the tail and wanting to take pictures with your “nuts”.THE BAD:The worst part of the costume is having to take nearly the entire costume off down to the thighs each time you have to empty the bladder. As you can imagine, drinking beer at a party, bathroom trips become frequent. I’m a 6 ft tall male with a bigger/muscular build weighing 205 lbs. The custome is one piece and the legs were about 6 inches short of touching the tops of my shoes. I wore grey sweatpants underneath the costume and no one was looking at the bottom of the costume anyway. Having a bigger upper body build with broad shoulders, the costume was tight in those areas which led to several rips in the seams in the shoulder and underarm areas. The tail sticks straight up much higher than your head and I had to “limbo” under every doorway. Not a huge deal but became a little annoying after a while. There are no pockets in the costume so I would suggest maybe a fanny pack for your phone, wallet, etc. I actually cut a slit in the side of the costume right where my pants pocket was.
