Using, however, is a bit of a problem. It ALWAYS clumped. This is what worked for me to drink as a fiber supplement:- heat approximately 3oz of water in a microwave for 45 seconds (you want 160-180 degrees, not boiling)- pour into a "protein shaker"- sprinkle 1 tsp of methylcellulose powder into the hot water- shake for 20-30 seconds- add approximately 5oz of COLD water to the mixture- shake for another 20-30 seconds- let stand for 5 minutes- shake again and drink the thick, but smooth, glass of water- if desired, fill the shaker with another 8 oz of water and drink to "clean out" the remaining methylcellulose in the shaker ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It is JUNK *by on Reviewed in the United States April 7, 2025* Works well for a variety of things. 1. If you drink it, you feel full and don't eat as much. (DEFINITELY research how to mix this, too much is not a good thing)2. Makes amazing paper mache paste.3. Makes a great personal lubricant without staining sheets or clothes, but does have a sticky residue if you don't wash it off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Paper Mache *by on Reviewed in the United States September 20, 2026* Ross art paste discontinued. This is great for paper Mache projects. I have been using with students for several years mixes well. Lasts for several large projects for about 30 large projects. Can be stored for several months in a plastic container with lid.Did not use for food. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pure Original Ingredients Methylcellulose (2.5 oz) Always Pure, Thickener & Emulsifier, Food Grade - It's Just - Xanthan Gum, 8oz, Batch Tested Gluten Free, Keto Baking, Non-GMO, Thickener for Sauces, Soups, Dressings, Packaged in USA - XPRS Nutra Gum Arabic Powder - Premium Acacia Gum Powder 4 Ounce - Food Grade Powdered Gum Powder Arabic Gum Arabic for Watercolor Paint - Arabic Gum Powder for Baking and More --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/420568509-pure-original-ingredients-methocel-powder-2-5-oz](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/420568509-pure-original-ingredients-methocel-powder-2-5-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
