This meat pounder or hammer is exactly as described and pictured. I bought it because I wanted to try to make schnitzel. I have not purchased a more useful kitchen tool in decades. Makes it so easy to schnitzel chicken and chops to the required thickness. I did a lot of research before buying. It's hygenic stainless steel - very shiny - cast in one piece and doesn't have a plastic handle or any crevices that could become dirty. It's like a piece of art!
