I tried to replace it with a Coleman cord but it didn't fit. Have returned both. So disappointed!

**Q: Can you still put ice in this cooler to keep things cold when not plugged in ?**
A: Yes you can put ice in this cooler, but it must be in sealed containers or water will get into the fan port. I use frozen water bottles to maintain cold overnight.

**Q: Plug gets extremely hot, can you help?**
A: I can’t really help, but will ask the question: is the outlet that you’re plugging it into in good condition? Make sure that it’s clean on the inside of the plug see the firmly. If it is still heading up, it means the product is defective.

The design of the bag and the ability to cool from room temp and to keep bag contents cold is phenomenal...while the cord works. I bought the additional adapter (Koolatron Multi-Purpose 110AC to 12 Volts DC) so I could use the bag while traveling, both in the car and in a room setting. It worked well for about a week then it failed. My trouble shooting revealed that the cord that came with the bag that plugs into the car lighter failed. I tried to replace it with a Coleman cord but it didn't fit. Have returned both. So disappointed!
