The capacity is 2750 cu in / 45 Liters **Q: Anyone have this mounted atop 1-gallon rotopax fuel/water can? Hoping the width of the can might accommodate the width this bad requires.** A: The Seat channel on the Beta Plus will accommodate the Long side of the Roto-Pax. Be careful as the a full bag will be quite high off the bike. Woof!e **Q: Will it work on a suzuki dzr 400 sm?** A: It depends on how wide your seat or luggage rack is. You don't want it hanging down a long way on the sides if you dont have side racks. It works fine on my 1200 GS and the seat is not really wide. You also don't want it to touch your exhaust pipe directly. Look at the with of the center section and compare it to your bike width where you will be strapping it on. **Q: 1) is watter proof? 2) can i put it over my rear rack instead over the seat?** A: The bag is not waterproof. There is an optional rain cover available. Tough bag and big enough to hold my 4 piece fly rod (barely) plus my waders boots fishing gear jacket etc.I was in a bad rain storm going thru new Mexico last weekend that washed out i25 and closed it for hours. Maybe had a few drops make it thru the bag but not enough to make anything wet. We were in the rain for maybe three hours. Like how it hangs on my 2013 gs. Kind of a pain that the front straps don't have clips and have to be threaded thru the buckle every time you put it on or take it off the bike.
