The binding has a lovely leather crisscross tie detail. Inside the notebook is a 6 ring binder for ease in removing or adding refills. It takes only one of the two A6 paper refills I found on desertcart so far. The 6 hole PAPER inside is 4" wide x 6 5/8" tall leaving about a quarter inch of clearance from the top and bottom of the notebook. The top of the first hole is .75" from the top of the paper.
