It comes with a blank key that you'd have to get cut at the dealer. And, it's for the specific models listed. The key isn't swappable with the factory key because the spring mechanism is slightly different. What I did was replace the key blade with the factory key blade by removing a tiny pin. There are some videos on YouTube. I did not have an easy time knocking out the old pin though. Also, the original GM case had to be broken apart to get the key and circuit board out. It's work, but it's certainly cheaper than getting a replacement from GM. **Q: What does rob stand for** A: I think it’s supposed to be FOB **Q: Is it easy to change the key & circuit board ?** A: Yes it is. Mine had a broken key so I had to get it laser cut.
