Over time the holes will get clogged on any mesh. They also Lazer etch their logo on the holes creating a weak area; mine has cracked there as have others. I recommend paper after using metal mesh. **Q: diameter of filter?** A: I don’t have it in front of me but it is the exact same diameter as the Aeropress paper filter and the Aeropress filter housing.
