After a while, however, I discard in lieu of a new one. That may not be the most ecological solution but I want to make sure I am using clean sponges to wash my counters, dishes, etc. **Q: What’s the suggested length of time/number of rewashes before replacing?** A: I've never counted the number of washes. I replace mine when the scrubber part starts to "shred". Maybe 3 to 4 weeks or so, give or take. **Q: Where is this sponge made?** A: It's made in China. **Q: Can I stick them in the microwave for 2 minutes to clean, or the dishwasher?** A: The product is made of microfiber and it is not recommended for microwave (which is for food), or dishwasher which is actually for dinnerware.
