He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul. Review: My son loves his wrestling shoes! - In my experience you can't go wrong with ASICS wrestling shoes (even though I own a pair of ADIDAS for me). My son needed a pair ASAP and he didn't like the few color choices available in local stores so I let him find pick a pair on desertcart. With this being his first year of wrestling and growing quickly (12 years old) I told him to stay in the $50 price range. These were shipped 1-Day shipping and arrived on time. He wears size 7.5 men's shoes and we went with a size 8 which fit perfectly and should last him all season. The shoe has plenty of grip and he is very happy! Review: Love it - I love the shows. They run a little tight but I'm hoping they stretch a little after some more use. Look great feel great ## Features - ASICS, Clearance Priced, JB Elite, Retired ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00Q77UKN2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #844,429 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #240 in Men's Wrestling Shoes #1,966 in Wrestling Equipment | | Brand | ASICS | | Closure Type | Lace-Up | | Closure type | Lace-Up | | Color | Black/Olympic Gold/Red | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 158 Reviews | | Fabric type | 100% Synthetic | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00887749923537 | | Heel Type | Flat | | Import Designation | Imported | | Item Weight | 7 ounces | | Manufacturer | ASICS America Corporation | | Manufacturer Part Number | J501N.9094 | | Material Fabric | synthetic-and-mesh | | Model Name | Jb Elite V2.0-m | | Origin | Imported | | Pattern | solid | | Seasons | Fall | | Shoe Height Map | High Top | | Sole Material | Rubber | | Sole material | Rubber | | Specific Uses For Product | Sports | | Sport Type | Wrestling,Basketball,Fitness,Athletic | | Style Name | Jb Elite V2.0-m | | Style Number | JB Elite V2.0-M | | Toe Style | Closed Toe | | UPC | 887749923537 | ## Images ![ASICS mens Jb Elite V2.0-m - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71DwrsxERbL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My son loves his wrestling shoes! *by M***A on October 14, 2018* In my experience you can't go wrong with ASICS wrestling shoes (even though I own a pair of ADIDAS for me).
