If you're finding the lid isn't fitting properly, be sure you have the inner "liner" (that the filter fits into) is turned the right way. I have the big 30 cup Pur dispenser in my fridge and love it. I wanted this smaller pitcher to filter water specifically for my coffee maker. No need to refrigerate for that purpose and keeps the dispenser in the fridge strictly available for cold drinking water. Both use the same filters, which is really convenient.
