I remember listening to Vegas and Boom after NFSU non-stop. Threw in other early electronic acts, the genre grew on me.Then for six years or so I wasn't into electronic music all that much. The genre becoming more mainstream and with so many more acts to listen too, now electronic is all I pretty much listen too.I listen to all these new DJs, and I ponder when I'm going to fall into the trap of only liking older bands or acts. All the new stuff is really great! Not much compares to Vegas though.In fact before about a month ago when I got the pre-order e-mail reminder, I hadn't listened to my Method albums in almost a year?As my anticipation grew for the album I began to fear that it would be a let down. A self-titled album as their fifth? This late in the game?Thirty hours post the tiny price tag for the music, I cannot fathom a better way to spend that money.You guys did it again, I've already listened to the album six or seven times, sheesh....I just can't stop!I like what another reviewer said that the first three songs suck you in! It is so true! I don't know what it is about TCM, but everything they do and make has been awesome since I first heard "Keep Hope Alive" on the Replacement Killers Soundtrack in 1998. While album won't beat out Vegas or Tweekend for me personally purely based on nostalgia factor, there are some really great tracks on this album. I've been impatiently awaiting "Jupiter Shift" since I first heard the snippet of it in that GMC commercial way back when. I would say that Sling the Decks is probably my favorite track on this album though. It's just quintessential breakbeat TCM with a great lead-up and crescendo and perfect for sprinting while you're jogging. Jupiter Shift, Storm the Castle, 110 to the 101, and Emulator round out my top 5. If you were going to just buy 5 songs off this album, those should be it, with an honorable mention to Dosimeter and Difference.And to be fair and not completely fanboyish, I have to say that I don't like the Leann Rimes song ("Grace") or the last track, "After Hours."Any track I haven't mentioned is good but not great.Also, if you don't follow TCM on soundcloud, you should. So much great stuff there. Or the worst album yet. I think it sits somewhere in between. Its not the classic TCM that I've grown to love. Every track has the same styled tone and sound to it and the drums almost seem digital. Unlike the rest, where every song has its own unique tone and sound. I was able to get over that pretty quick but their's a little bit of dubstep mixed in there that totally ruins the album for me.
