First, the date on the bottle is the manufactured date. Shelf life is 7 years unopened and 5 years opened based on the Triguard being kept in a cool, dry place. How is it different/similar?** A: Well, it is different in that it is not just silver. It also has other ingredients. I believe the company's recommendation is that it can be taken internally. I have in the past used veg. caps to take it internally, putting about 30 drops of undiluted TriGuard into the capsule and swallowing it with water, up to three times per day.
