Without the brackets they do not work. can you send replacement brackets?** A: You just strap it to the tree as you put up each section **Q: are these individual sticks one solid piece of metal or do you have to assemble them with bolts or somthing** A: Individual, they slip fit together **Q: Can I buy two 5 piece and take two middle sections out of one and make the other like 26ft?** A: You should have no problem doing that. They just fit into each other. You would just add two more pieces and then add the top and you should be good to go. Might be a bit difficult getting something that long up the tree, but other than that you should be fine. Just a tip. If you plan on leaving them in year round anywhere, spray them with a can of flex seal first and they last forever.
