Some analog meters blow fuses when the dial is set incorrectly and eat batteries. The autoranging works perfectly. It comes with important cables such as one with alligator clips so you can clip it to whatever you are testing. It comes with a nice zippered case. The battery lasts forever on a charge. The display is bright and can be read in sunlight. I turns off automatically after 15 mins, so it does not kill the battery if I forget. The audio alert is loud enough to be heard with an engine running. This is FAR better than meters with manual dials (and LCDs lacking lighted displays). On those, if you hook it up to voltage when checking resistance you blow a fuse and have to take it apart. I can work on stuff in the dark.
