**Q: do you need a slope for it to drain?**

Thank you for your following. It would be better to slope the drainage tubing even slightly but the box does not require a slope. The length of the pipe before stretching is 16.14’’, after stretching length is 5.1 ft.

Easy to assemble. I buried it as you should putting the catch basin right under the down spout and digging out a hole filled with rocks for catching the water then covered that over. Poured 5 gallons of water all at once and with a slight angle on the catch box you have no water left in it. Bone dry. Very pleased with it and the simplicity of it.

I was looking for solution where two down spouts came together in a corner. I attached the fitting to an existing pipe and it worked perfectly.
