Product Description Wave motion simulation on your desktop. The Wave Machine is a motorized wave simulator that can teach you a thing or two about the physics of sea waves. You can use the simple motor or generate waves with your hands. Directions 1. Remove the Wave Machine from its packaging. 2. Place it on a flat surface. 3. Insert a LR14 'C' battery into the motorized base. 4. Turn on the motor to observe the wave simulation. 5. Alternatively, generate waves manually by moving your hands over the wave container. Safety Warning WARNING! THIS ITEM IS NOT A TOY. KEEP AWAY FROM YOUNG CHILDREN. BATTERY INFORMATION: 1) Requires 1 x 'C' (LR14) battery. Not included. 2) Batteries should only be replaced by an adult. 3) Do not mix old and new batteries. 4) Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. 5) Do not re-charge non-rechargeable batteries. 6) Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. 7) Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before being charged. 8) Ensure batteries are inserted with the correct polarity. 9) Exhausted batteries should always be removed. 10) The terminals should not be short circuited. 11) Use Phillips tip screwdriver to remove the screw from the battery cover. Insert as illustrated. Replace battery cover and screw before use. Please retain this information

**Q: does this prduct have sound?**
A: The only sound is a slight sqweak when the top part moves from side to side.  A little lube cures the problem.

Pretty decent for £19. The first one I bought had a leak. Replaced with a second and it is much better. The base was much quieter on the first, so I stuck with that - think it is luck of the draw on how noisy it is. Not the quality of the classic ones by Lava in the eighties, but not bad and a lot cheaper.
