The magnets look and feel like chunks of iron with a nickel coating. They have torch gouges, saw marks and grinding marks. Each end has a mark where electrodes were attached. They're not as strong as neodymium magnets I purchased in the past. Will not purchase again.

I'm an engineer. These magnets are significantly smaller than stated and they measure more like N38 than N52. So if you need a powerful Neodymium magnet DON'T BUY THESE.
