I was disappointed with the results at first but after varying the recipes I am now happy and the bread is delicious. The size of the loaves are a little small but for my wife and I, generally a loaf will last us two days.My general recipe for this machine for a 50/50 loaf is as follows, added in this order:285ml water30g unsalted butter250g Sainsburys whole meal flour250g Sainsburys strong white bread flour1 teaspoon salt (in one corner)1 heaped tablespoon soft brown sugar (in the opposite corner)1 1/4 teaspoon yeast. It’s easy to operate and comes with a little booklet with recipes for various types of bread. I’ve tried most of them now and don’t have any complaints. The only thing worth mentioning is that the proofing time will vary based on the temperature of your kitchen. I have large windows so I found that during the winter I had to actually turn the machine off just before it starts baking and leave it to ensure the bread rise enough. It’s no issue as I just turn it back on to just the bake setting and an hour later my bread is done.
