**Q: does this work with a microsoft surface?**
A: Hi Mr.M, it would work well Win10/8.1/8 with PL2302 chipset, if your system is windows RT, you need to chose this cable with FTDI chipset.ASIN B00QUZY4L0.

**Q: will this work with windows 10**
A: Yes. I have just tried by installing the Windows 8 drivers from the included mini-disc of drivers, and connecting it to my elderly Garmin E-Trex H. I was using the GPS to enter my site coordinates into a planetarium software programme and it worked just fine. This was using a laptop previously running 8.1 and recently upgraded to Windows 10. To my inexperienced eye it appears to be a well made cable which I bought specifically for W 8.1 but am delighted to discover that it also works with W10. Hope this helps.

**Q: Hi, does this work with cisco products?**
A: it dosent work with all cisco. routers ok switches not so much. better off getting startec one with ftdi chipset, that one definatly works. had to junk this one
