From the manufacturer About Us In 1924 Sidney Rustin opened his first shop in London's Shoreditch district where he sold wood finishing products to local residents and trades people. Sidney's father was a cabinetmaker and his mother funded the business venture. During the second world war the first night raid destroyed the original 1932 factory and the business moved to its present location in Cricklewood, London. Ronnie Rustin, Sidney's son, took over the business and ran it until his death in 2008. Review: Stinky wood putty to repair Ikea furnitre dings - This stuff smells - reminds me of the 'bad' kids in high school sniffing paint in the playground. That's the downside... I bought some IKEA furniture that unfortunately was damaged. Instead of returning the product, I asked if I could repair the furniture with some wood putty, but this is not a review about IKEA whoopsies, but about the product I used to repair my unit - the putty. Application was simple - thin layer, dry and then repeat until you have a good repair. Then sand it down and you're good to go - except for the painting bit... The product takes a bit of time to dry, but it has held very well and and has made a bad corner good again. Well recommended if you have a ventilated room and are prepared for the smell. It is durable and I am happy. Go for it for fixing dinged up furniture. Only wish it had a darker colour - the Oak colour I got was quite light.

**Q: Is it really only 9 grams in the tube?**
A: Depends on the area you need to use it for, but there is plenty in the tube.  I know 9 grams doesn't seem like much, but it's. More than you think.  Hope that helps x

**Q: Can  this be used to remodel a wooden handle badly gnawed  by a dog?**
A: It’s certainly tough when set and can be drilled / sanded when hard. I guess it will depend on the amount of shaping that needs to be done.... maybe add a couple of screws / pins in the handle for extra strength when building up the layers?

**Q: What shade should I buy to fill a natural oak groove which is unstained? Oak or Natural?**
A: I bought natural to fill areas on un stained light oak boards.
It was a reasonable match. I then used hard wax oil and it did enrich the colour of the filler and oak board.

**Q: Is this durable enough to fill the length of a joint groove in a kitchen worktop?**
A: The Plastic Wood will be durable enough for use on a worktop, but we recommend testing on a small area to determine compatibility between the Plastic Wood and any wood glue/adhesive used in the joint should it come to contact.
