Carrier is not insulated, and not waterproof-zip door entrance is screened. **Q: Why is the tray smaller than the bottom of the carrier? Why does the interior smell so much, should I clean it before putting my parakeet in it?** A: The tray inside of mine wasn’t very small. It fit perfectly. Mine also didn’t have an odor. Not sure why yours does. **Q: I am a new budgie owner.
