The downside is that it loses that hands-on tactile feel that a professional studio offers. If like me, you’re a bit old school and like to physically push buttons but are also limited with space, this lovely little midi controller is perfect. Using USB it plugs straight into your PC and the buttons and knobs are fully assignable to actions within your DAW. The price point is spot on and it’s super easy to set up. All these options require proper understanding of the MIDI protocol and so are often overlooked by neophytes who then complain things do not work. Out of the box, no it does not do what you want. Nothing does. **Q: Has anyone tried this with Vegas Pro video edit software?** A: Not me, however, the unit is specifically designed for DAW (digital audio workstation) use with overlay templates for most software currently on the market; such as Cubase, Ableton, Logic, etc. It supports the following operating modes; Mackie Control, HUI and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and also has an "MC User" mode where the individual buttons can be assigned by the user. You can download a shareware plugin for Lightroom Classic called Midi2LR that works with Windows or MacOS. It takes a bit of setting up but there are plenty of examples on the web. It works very well and speeds up sorting and editing quite a bit. **Q: Will it work with After Effects amd photoshop?** A: Yes you can get this to work the those programs but it's not a straight out of the box solution. You'd need a third party midi translator like Bome's MIDI Translator Pro. It's not straight forward and will some time and patience to get it working, but it can be done for sure. Good size and feel. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Piece of Kit *by R***N on 12 June 2021* Bought this piece of kit to use with the windows application "Midi-Mixer", which allows me to utilize my midi controller in place of my windows volume mixer, I can change individual applications' volumes up and down with ease. Now I've done it, i can't go back. One thing I love is that these are knobs, and not potentiometers, so they can be turned infinitely, so if i bind a new app to the knob then I don't need to worry about what volume it was previously at.
