Sorry it took me so long to buy. Had bought premium pet clips before at around 60 which were meant to be pro. Fine for my middle aged westie cross who took fright at a groomers one day. However my 18month spaniel x standard poodle has a very soft wavy coat that matts instantly when he plays and very fast growing. Spent a fortune at groomers every 4 weeks! So tried my clippers but they died mid cut. Did some research and bought this set. couldn't believe it really made that much difference. His hair seemed to fall off and he was a happy puppy. I rushed through it as worried about the heat building up but it was great. I had two little few minute breaks while i turned him round, reviewed my handiwork and gave him tweeties for being so good etc and that was plenty of cooling. Do NOT hesitate to buy these and dont waste money on cheaper - its false economy especially if you have anything with poodle in it or anything but the smallest of dogs. A great purchase. If you want to leave the coat 3/4" long, I would suggest either the 3 3/4FC (13mm), or the 5/8HT blades which will leave the coat closer to this length.
