Ideal for TVs, shelving, radiators, and more, they require precise 12mm hole drilling and hex bit installation for a secure, clean fit—making them the trusted choice for millennial professionals demanding both performance and peace of mind.

## Description

Suitable for: Fixing heavy duty items e.g. TV/ PC/ Plasma screens, LCD TV, kitchen units, radiators, shelving, curtain poles, air conditioning units, etc. to a dry lined or fibre insulation board wall, transferring the load to the masonry without affecting the plasterboard integrity.

Review: The only fixings you can trust in cellcon blocks - I have a 50 inch flatscreen, which weighs a scary amount to hang on any wall. I have a swivel, tilt and extend mount, which says in its instructions that it must only be attached to solid masonry (concrete) or a stud wall. And the wall I want to hang all this from is a standard cavity wall with cellcon blocks on the inside, then skim plaster over plasterboard. I used four of these Rigifix fixings, two at the top, one in the middle and one at the bottom. They give a very reassuring look of being well engineered, and they all went in cleanly and very easily, and seem to give good hold. Before hanging the TV on the bracket, I did a pull-up on the bracket myself. These fixings are absurdly strong, and I am pretty confident they will hold the weight of the TV, even at the limit of the extension. You do need to make sure the holes you drill are clean and accurate. Probably worth buying a new 12mm masonry bit, and make sure you drill them in exactly the right place. You will not need to hammer drill if the wall is cellcon blocks. I used a 6mm hex bit for my drill to drive the fixing into the wall. You could probably use an Allen key, but it would be hard work, and harder to ensure that the fixing goes in straight. The fixings do not come with instructions. You drill a 12mm hole deep enough to take the whole of the plastic plug. Then slide the plug into the hole -- tap it all the way with a hammer if you need to, it should be a tight fit. There is a thin flange that remains on the surface. Then drive the outer bolt all the way into the plug -- it ends up a couple of mm below the surface. Finally, attach your bracket or whatever, using the inner bolt (philips cross-head). Good idea to use a washer unless the hole exactly matches.
Review: Great product - Highly recommended. - Have used previously to hang tv's and heavy items to walls where they are plasterboard dabbed onto brick or breeze blocks. This usually leaves a gap which is not great when needing to hang heavy items. Normal plasterboard fixings are a waste of time and will just pull away and not be sturdy enough. These work by drilling a hole through the plasterboard and into the substrate. You then knock the long wall plug in until it is flush with the plasterboard. Now for the clever bit. A small metal tube is then inserted into the wall plug which effectively bridges the gap between the back of the plasterboard and the substrate. This means that you get a really solid fixing when you screw into it, but also it stops the plasterboard from being deformed and pulled in towards the substrate. Note that they come with special threaded bolts, not standard screws. You need a hex bit to tighten them and I would recommend using a variable drill to get the torque needed to screw them in properly. You may struggle if just using a standard screwdriver with the bit fitted. One final useful point - when inserting the small round metal tube you do this after you insert the wall plug. Don't try to fit the wall plug with the tube already in it.... It won't work! And to help you put it in, use a bit of wd40 or similar to help it glide in easily. Hope all this helps.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the dimensions of this item?**
A: It clearly mentions a 12mm hole on the graphic on the plug itself. Using a 9mm drill will not work!!

**Q: How does M6 and M8 differ?**
A: M6 and M8 refers to the size of the fixing. 6mm vs 8mm. The M8 need a massive 16mm hole in the wall for the plug to be inserted into. The M6 requires a 12mm hole. I have used the M8 size to fix a radiator to a insulated wall where the brick was 50mm back from the plasterboard - they were absolutely Rock solid. I used the M6 on the same wall to hang a TV mount (50" TV) and again were solid.

**Q: What screws are required for lg 50" 4k smart tv**
A: Will this be good to hold 55 inch tv on a wall mount on concrete or brick wall

**Q: How long is the screw? I'm looking to secure something to the wall that has an aperture depth of 7mm, meaning that at least 7mm is redundant.**
A: The screw's thread depth is 25mm, however it doesn't start biting until after 7mm. So effectively you only have 18mm of usable screw depth.

Id never normally leave a review but these fixings are fist class! Bought these to hang a large vertical radiator that weighed 55kg without any water in on to a dot and dab wall with thermolite block behind and they fix great. These will be my go to fixing on dot and dab walls from now on
