I was able to use the suspension trainer straight away by attaching it between a door and it's frame. This worked OK for a while but you are limited to the type of exercise you can do and there is always the concern that you may be doing some damage to your door. I have now fitted the X mount above the archway between my lounge and dining room and I can now use the suspension trainer as it was intended. The X mount is a really well made piece of kit and so long as you fit it to a solid wall it will not let you down. To give you piece of mind I would suggest you proof test the installation, I did this by hanging from the suspension trainer with my wife on my back. Nothing gave way but I won't be trying that again! The finish of the X mount is great and will never rust so I have ordered another on to fit outside on a fairly rugged pergola so that I can do my routines in the fresh air this summer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The mount itself is excellent quality so would recommend *by W***7 on 14 August 2016* The mount itself is excellent quality so would recommend. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the fixings supplied were not great. I wasn't fixing to wood but through a wall. The fixings supplied seemed far too over engineered for the job and so I had to go purchase some raw plugs. I particularly like the inclusion of two different types of installation hardware for attaching to wood or to a brick wall. I have this X mount attached to a ceiling joist in my spare room and so far have used it both to hang a 65Kg heavy punch bag and for securing a suspension trainer. The mount feels very solid once srewed into place, allowing me to hang/swing from my suspension trainer with complete confidence. I also tested the security of the fitting by getting my partner (who weighs 96Kg) to swing from the 65Kg punch bag and the thing didn't budge.
