As long as you 'bake' it at the correct temperature and time you should be ok. Don't use the same tins as you would for baking/cooking, always have a separate set for fimo. I think the fumes are only toxic if you overcook it. **Q: I’ve always found fimo to hard to work with . I’ve not used this - is it actually soft ? Thanks** A: Fimo soft is my clay of preference since it’s more accessible than Sculpey soufflé, etc and it outperforms kato. I use it to make earrings and charms and they always turn out perfect. It doesn’t take a lot to condition, just roll it out a couple of times until it warms up and then it’s as mouldable as okay dough! It mixes well with other clays too as I use it with cernit translucent quite a bit. Once baked it’s pretty sturdy and can bend quite a bit without snapping like other brands :) hope this helps you! **Q: Do I need to buy a glue, or does the clay stick together with slight squishing anyway?** A: The clay sticks together very well whilst it is on the raw state. Some items need to be part baked at different stages to ensure you do not spoil the work you have done. If you rub a little liquid Sculpey clay on the side of the baked piece like you were glueing it, you will find the new raw layer will stick without problems. There are lots of youtube videos to show you how to work with polymer clay **Q: Can this be left to Air dry.** A: There is an airdry clay but the polymer clay does not air dry. It does become crumbly if left cold for too long and will need to be conditioned again. However, it will start to sure if left near heat or in the sun and may become pretty unusable. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bargain and a surprise at the same time! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 September 2025* Having checked out the other reviews I made the decision to give this a go and see what surprises I received. Not disappointed at all! It works out roughly £2.20 a pack which is a bargain and the selection of colours are pretty nice to go with my collection.Haven’t had a chance to play with them yet, but I have given the packets a squeeze. I would say that some are pretty soft and others will require a bit more work to get them to where they need to be. But all in all, I’m a happy customer and will definitely be treating myself to one of these bundles once a month for the pure fun of the element of surprise. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice random selection of colours *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 8 June 2026* Bought this to try out polymer crafting so wanted a starter selection to mess around with. Very happy with the quality and colours. I don't mind that I don't have any blues, if I do need any in the future, I'll buy them separately. The selection I received has a good mix and I'm sure I'll have fun creating! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great beginner pack. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 9 June 2026* Pleased with it, great mixed of neon colors, pastel and essential colors. You cant beat the price. ## Frequently Bought Together - Steadtler Fimo Soft Starter Pack 12 x 56 g Multicolour Blocks - STAEDTLER FIMO Soft Polymer Clay - Oven Bake Clay for Modeling, Jewelry, Sculpting, 1 lb Block, White 8021-0, 454 (8021-1LB-0) - Staedtler FIMO Soft Polymer Clay - Oven Bake Clay for Jewelry, Sculpting, Crafting, 30 Pieces, Assorted Colors, 8023 C30 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ae/products/48054285-steadtler-fimo-soft-starter-pack-12-x-57-g-multicolour](https://www.desertcart.ae/products/48054285-steadtler-fimo-soft-starter-pack-12-x-57-g-multicolour) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Arab Emirates* *Store origin: AE* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
