I'm thinking of times you want someone to listen but be fairly quiet** A: don't think so as the iRig plugs directly in to the headphone socket, so it cuts off the internal speakers, you can't 'Bluetooth' the sound either (at least on the iPad), I guess instead of H/phones you could plug in some small external speakers or get a 'Y' plug and use two sets of H/phones. Great piece of kit for low maintenance and setting up jamming, or even recording. Good sound quality and can now output straight to an amp as well letting you use the great fx you can buy to go with it. The amp sounds available are also good with nice editing ability. And all at a good price! The only negative I can see is that although I say the sound quality is great, there are some slight issues with android set ups.
