## Description

From the manufacturer Winsor & Newton Drawing Ink Our Drawing Inks have been used by illustrators since their introduction by Winsor & Newton in the 1890's, where the main requirement is brilliance of colour. They are formulated from a series of soluble dyes in a superior shellac solution. These inks can be applied with brush, dip pen or airbrush and are widely used by designers, calligraphers and artists as well as illustrators. This set includes eight colours in 14ml bottles including: Sunshine Yellow, Vermillion, Deep Red, Purple, Ultramarine, Brilliant Green, Peat Brown, Black. Actual contents may vary. Brilliant Colours Formulated from a series of soluble dyes in a shellac solution, our drawing inks offer unrivalled strength and colour brilliance. Colour Mixing The drawing inks allow overlaying of different colours for attractive colour mixes. All the colours are water resistant except Liquid Indian Ink, Gold and Silver. Fully Intermixable All the colours are intermixable. Gold and Silver should be added to other inks in small quantities to avoid thickening. Mixtures of Gold and Silver should not be stored together due to adverse chemical reaction.

**Q: Are they packaged and shipped with lots of padding so the bottles don't smash?**
A: I’ve only ever bought them online and they were well packed, with no breakages

**Q: Would it be possible to use these inks with a fountain pen and ink converter?**
A: Hi there, 
These drawing inks are fast-drying, water resistant and transparent - they can be used with a brush, dip pen or airbrush. Unfortunately they are not recommended to be used with a fountain pen or ink converter as they may cause clogging.

**Q: Product description error. Are there two different sets?**
A: As you surmised, there are two sets, one the "William" the other the "Henry". The colours differ in each set but there is a black in each set.

**Q: I was just wondering if these are Non-Waterproof Inks?**
A: The inks are water based and can therefore be diluted.  They are obviously not waterproof.  Also fade in direct sunlight.
