## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this pair multiple devices at a time?**
A: Not sure what you mean by "pair multiple devices" but it is a straight dynamic microphone. It plugs into a mixing board or other device that has a mic preamp via XLR cable.

**Q: Does this item come with a corresponding clip and bag?**
A: It does. It's a great mic, I highly recommend it.

**Q: Does anyone record with this mic? I'm getting a weak signal to my interface, any ideas would be appreciated.**
A: I do, what interface? Make sure you are using an input with a preamp and that you are set to mic level and not line level. Since this is a dynamic mic it's not as sensitive as a condenser so you might need to crank it depending on the preamps.

**Q: can this pair multiple devices at a time?**
A: Yes it can. As most microphones pointing it directly and as close as possible to the sound source will yield better results. The further away from the sound source the more ambient noise. Which may be desired sometimes.

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great snare mic
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 January 2025*

Well made and solid. Comes with a very thin pop filter built in. Slightly brighter than an SM57. Great all round mic

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent for Horns!
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 24 July 2015*

I took my time and did some pretty extensive research before buying this (my first) mic. Having done about a billion gigs before, but rarely requiring amplification I needed to take the plunge and get my own for a series of recent performances.I play a 1967 Conn Mellophonium. A kind of a bell front French Horn with small bore .500'' trombone like characteristics sound wise (Think Stan Kenton c1967). I have to say that the Audix is absolutely spot on for this horn, whilst not specifically designed for horn use either. The Mellophonium can totally obliterate a band in the wrong hands, delivering some pretty hardcore if potentially nasty power output especially above the staff and above written high C. Exciting certainly, but not always so subtle! This mic took all of this energy easily in its stride, highlighting exactly what I wanted response wise and respecting the rest sound wise. Its incredibly well built and robust plus it looks decent too.Whilst I realise that not many bands like mine feature a Mellophonium, I would nigh on guarantee that the i5 will make a great trombone microphone without a doubt. It is also very sensibly priced I thought for a first purchase like mine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than an SM57 by a country mile.
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 April 2016*

This is a bonafide professional quality great microphone. Better than an SM57. I have mine right on the cone of a too loud valve guitar amp and it's crystal clear. I'm an Audix convert. Comes with a durable carrying case with enough room for the supplied clip and another microphone. Solid build quality. No scrimping on cheap components here. Absolutely spot on.
