Review: I haven't been asked/paid to do this review, it's all true, they're spot on and remarkably good value..! - I read the reviews and took a punt (I was convinced people had been paid to give 5* reviews). I have just used my new BaByliss straighteners for the first time with excellent results, lovely shiny, smooth hair. I think it took me less time with these, they are definitely just as good as GHDs. I'm not going to say better because I think they do the same job in the same way (iron your hair flat), however at just over £20 it's a no brainer. Really really pleased. I also wasn't sure how I'd get on with a wider plate but am happy to say they glide beautifully, I can easily get to the roots and shape my hair how I want to. I can't fault them in any way.

I can honestly say they are the best straighteners I've ever tried! My hair is so thick and frizzy once washed and dried and its hard to find much to tame the mane, but these are amazing. They take a while to heat up compared to others, but trust me you won't care. In one go my hair went from frizzy to polka straight! It didn't take long to do all of my hair either and it stayed straight all day even after being outside and back home in the warm,which fir me NEVER happens. All I can say is try them, you really won't be disappointed.

**Q: Do they come with a holder/holster to put them in while in use?**
A: They don't come with a holster but they do come with a heat mat..these straighteners are fantastic..I would highly recommend ðŸ~Š x

**Q: What is the highest temperature do the hair straighteners reach to please advise? Thanks**
A: 235° (you can turn the heat down using the 20 settings).

**Q: Do you have to go over it a couple of times like you do with some straighteners to get it straight?**
A: No you don't. My daughter has very thick long hair and these wide plate straighteners are fantastic.

**Q: Do these work well on Afro hair**
A: I am sorry I can not answer that. I purchased these for my hair that still retains curls from years of perms, which these do work well on.

Early days but impressed. I've short thick hair and wanted wider plates, needed new straighteners as my ghd's weren't giving me the desired effect. I couldn't afford a new pair, and I'm sure they don't last as well as they use to! After seeing the reviews for these I thought I'd try them. Due to different heat settings I was able to get super straight hair, I do use a heat protector spray. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because they do get really hot on the outside of the plates so just be careful, I think this has been mentioned in another review. However they do straighten well and for the price they are very good and I would recommend trying them, they also heat up quickly.
