## Description

Absolutely the fastest, easiest way to put an edge on tools that we have ever seen! In fact it impressed us so much that we kept the system set up in our shop and now hone all of our tools with it before each use. Two laminated paper wheels, one for grinding and one for buffing, fit any 5/8" arbor bench grinders (includes spacer to adapt to 1/2" arbors). The use of the silicon carbide grinding compound and jewelers rouge buffing compound on the two wheels allows you to produce a mirror finish while virtually eliminating the chance of "bluing" your tool (the wax on the silicon carbide wheel acts as both a lubricant and cooling agent).Lightly grind your blade with the silicon carbide/conditioning grease wheel until you feel a wire edge, then polish the burr off with the jewelers rouge buffing wheel.System is complete with grinding and buffing wheels, extra silicon carbide (enough for about 30 recoatings), conditioning grease, jewelers rouge, and instructions for mounting, truing and recoating wheels, and sharpening with the Edgemaking System

## Features

- QUICK RESULTS: This system will put a honed and polished razor sharp edge on your knives and tools in just seconds
- COMPLETE KIT: The Deluxe Kit system comes complete with abrasive and polishing wheels, extra silicon carbide grit, jewelers rouge, conditioning wax, and complete instructions for installation and use
- SHARPEN ANY BLADE: Circular blades, curved blades, reverse curved blades, serrated blades, straight edges, and wavy blades, broad-heads, chisels, draw knives, gouges, head knives, lathe tools, leather punches, needles, planer blades, scissors, v-tools, and more
- STANDARD SIZE: This most popular eight inch kit is made to fit ordinary 5 or 6 inch bench grinder or buffer motor. The wheels are most efficient turning over 3000 RPMs. The wheels in a standard 8 inch Deluxe Kit are 8 in by 3/4 in with a 5/8 in arbor hole. The installed bushing converts them to a 1/2 in arbor hole

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a maximum rpm that the wheels can take? My grinder’s spec says it has a an speed n0 of a max of 4500 rpm. Is this too fast?**
A: The manufacturer states on the label, "Intended for use on a six inch bench grinder or buffer motor turning at LEAST 3,000 rpm."

**Q: Does this come with one or two wheels? also is this the same as this product? http://www.grizzly.com/products/8-razor-sharp-system/g5937**
A: I think they are the same product, a few different companies make a similar product. It should come with 2 wheels. 1 with grit and one to polish. Great sharpener!

**Q: is the paper wheel going to load up with paste and stop working? if so how is the paper wheel rejuvenated? I see the cotton wheel has a process .**
A: The compound (paste) wears off and is reapplied with each sharpening. It does not build up. Eventually (200 sharpenings) the wheel gets somewhat loaded with metal, which is cleaned up with sandpaper. Full instructions are included with the deluxe kit.

**Q: Are these wheels long life or do you have to replace them?**
A: these wheels will last a long time, how ever it is important to let the tool do the work.it is not
required to apply alot of pressure to the wheel when sharpening.the wheels will also come with grit to recondition the wheel with.videos can be seen on you tube to demonstrate that process as well as the manufacturer site.
