There is a lot of info and most of it is really up to date. For instance the data in the book about Neanderthal genes in our genome which was believed to be nonexistent, awesome! My professor didnt even know that information. The only bad things about the book do not have to do with the text or information within. I am renting this book and I realize it may not have been brand new but when I got it there were sheets of notes still in it, scratches on the front cover, the corners looked all beat up and like there are starting to fall apart, and some of the pages were folded over (not a huge deal). I dont mind these flaws too much because I know things happen and we cant all keep our books in amazing condition, but I just dont want to be charged full price for a book when I didnt even cause the flaws and I think I have only opened it twice since I got it. Otherwise it sits on my dresser not even being used except for when I have an exam coming up. They are far more helpful than any online learning tools that I used in the course of three calculus classes, two physics classes, or four chemistry classes. If you are assigned this text, do yourself a favor and actually read it. You will learn. And make it a point to use the online tools that come with it.
