Once this pull-up bar was installed over the doorway from our hall to our living room, well, we just started doing pullups--daily--all three of us. That is, two middle-aged parents and one sporty girl. At first, I could do only one pull-up. A few days later, I could do several. At that point, I noticed vertical lines appearing in my post-baby-bearing abdomen. Vertical lines, I tell you! Not washboard abs, but certainly not mommy-abs either. And on top of that, this pull-up bar is easy. Once assembled, you sling it over a doorway. That's it. Just lift up on it to take it down to the ground for different options. But we don't--we just leave it up and use it from time to time. Makes a great gift too. Very sturdy and will not damage your door frame. We use it because it's there and it's fun. Note: hubby is tall--at 6'1"--and he does have to bend at the knees in order to do a pull-up. If you are short, like our daughter, you have to jump up to reach it. It works for most sizes of humans. Vertical ab lines--I still cannot get over that!

**Q: What actually supports the bar is it your body weight and the door frame ? No installation, correct?**
A: The bar is braced over the door frame. Your weight keeps it in place. No hardware to install.

**Q: What is a "standard" doorway depth? The doorway I intend to place this into is 3.5" thick with about 0.5" thick molding on both sides.**
A: standard doorway depth = 3.5" (for the studs) + 0.5" + 0.5" (drywall on each side) + your 0.5" trim on each side = 5.5ish"

**Q: Other products reportedly have very thin, flimsy foam. Do your hands have lots of support from the foam? Does the foam seem robust and long-lasting?**
A: The foam is actually surprisingly firm on this trainer, as long as you keep a good grip. I haven't had any problems hurting my hands or ankles on it.

**Q: Can extended use leave any marks on the door frame, moldings, etc. I've read that this does happen with competitive products.**
A: It can leave a faint black mark from the black foam, and if you use a pipe section to extend the supports, then you want to be careful to make sure there is enough foam protecting the edges.

Incomplete product sent with main parts missing. The box was taped up tight to cover the fact that it had been opened before. Very disappointed as we looked forward to it but we couldn’t even hang it on the wall and use it since there were no parts in the box
