Review: A good quality 25w oven lamp. - A set of 3 x 25w small edison screw fit lamps. So, I needed to replace a lamp in my oven. Why bother with no name slightly cheaper types, when for a few pennies more, you can buy Philips originals. The lamps are marked with all the correct information as all genuine Philips lamps would be. Putting it on the meter, you can see it is pulling 26w, (the bottom left reading in the photo). I've included a photo of it in my oven, where it replaced an original 15w lamp. There is absolutely no problem in swapping an existing 15w for a more powerful 25w in any oven. However, if you should use them in any other appliance (I also have one in a lava lamp.) Then make sure you do not exceed the stated maximum wattage. In an oven, it's never going to be a problem, but, in something like a decorative lamp, if you exceed the wattage you could find that over time you scorch, or even melt the fixture. Some people have commented on lamps being 'blown' when they arrive. What they actually mean is that the filament has broken. Unfortunately due to the nature of a 25w incandescent lamp, the filament is always going to be delicate. So, there is a chance it could break in transit. I recommend that when you receive the lamps, you test all 3 to make sure the filaments are intact and all is well. I hope you found this review helpful.

**Q: The top photo for bulb says it is ses14 small edison screw, but detailed description says it is e14 edison screw. which is it?**
A: SES lamps are available in three screw sizes E10,E12 and E14. The E10 fits a 10mm diameter lampholder, the E12 fits a 12mm diameter lampholder and the E14 fits a 14mm diameter lamp holder. If you are replacing a lamp measure the diameter of the brass screw section. If not measure the diameter of the lampholder socket it is going in to.

**Q: Is the bulb suitable for Miele Classic Oven**
A: I am not sure for that specific oven. Best think to do is to take out the bulb that is already in there and check the details on it (should be printed on the glass of the bulb).

**Q: Do these produce enough heat to use in a scent lamp?**
A: I know that a number of Aroma Lamps use G9 Halogen bulbs 25watt or 33watt 240v, which are different to the Philips 25watt SES E14 (pictured) lamp your question refers to. Suggest you look at the technical details relevant to your Scent lamp.

**Q: Has anyone tried these at 450 degrees Celsius?**
A: Oven temps  500°F	260°C	Mark10	Extremely Hot   - So the advert states >300°C  so maybe 450 degrees Celsius is pushing it a bit.

A set of 3 x 25w small edison screw fit lamps. So, I needed to replace a lamp in my oven. Why bother with no name slightly cheaper types, when for a few pennies more, you can buy Philips originals. The lamps are marked with all the correct information as all genuine Philips lamps would be. Putting it on the meter, you can see it is pulling 26w, (the bottom left reading in the photo). I've included a photo of it in my oven, where it replaced an original 15w lamp. There is absolutely no problem in swapping an existing 15w for a more powerful 25w in any oven. However, if you should use them in any other appliance (I also have one in a lava lamp.) Then make sure you do not exceed the stated maximum wattage.
