Book. *by S***S on June 26, 2023* I’ve been a fan of Whitney’s (Sugar & Sparrow Co.) for years, and always use her recipes. I’ve worked as a commercial cake decorator and have run an out-of-home business, and I’ve still learned so much from following her blog. When she announced this book, I didn’t hesitate to order, and I’m so glad I now have it! The book is SO comprehensive, and covers everything you didn’t even know you’d need in the baking and decorating process. Troubleshooting tips, ways to rescue any fail, color mixing, you name it, she’s covered it. Her recipes and designs range from simple to complex, but this book is informative enough for a first time baker to jump right in and make something beautiful. I love that it is comprehensive enough to make these beautiful designs as well as gives confidence to create your own designs. My 11 year old daughter has even been making cakes and cupcakes using this book, and I’m seriously impressed she hasn’t needed my help in the kitchen!
