Shocking. - Paying this amount was a massive consideration and on review it was a complete waste of money. Monkey lights are far superior at a fraction of the cost. Firstly the lights didn’t fit the bike I wanted them on. Contacted the company who encouraged me to hack away at the overly expensive plastic rubbish to enable them to fit. Didn’t bother and put them on my second choice bike instead. Now over the last 18 months there have been battery issues as the connections on the wheel hub are knackered and the lights no longer work. The plastic release of one of the batteries has also broken off. Considering these are only used in the winter for a few months at a time, these are pathetic lights. Don’t bother, you have been warned. Expensive tat. Review: Excellent way to get seen in the dark - After a winter in the UK it is time to give a review of the product. They were easy to install, takes about 30mins for both wheels. Once on they have only needed to be adjusted once. They definitely get you noticed and a number of people have stopped me to ask about them. They are very bright head on and from the side. I use one junction into the train station where people are not looking properly. You can see that they are not looking but they always stop because of the side illumination. However they do not spread the light to use in unlit areas. If you are riding in unlit areas all the time you would need a front light. One issue I have at the start was finding the light button. On a black rim, in the dark it is very difficult to find the battery light button. I put a strip of white tape by the button so I can find them. They have stood up to all the grit and grim and being banged about putting my locks on and off. How much do the front and rear differ?** A: Hi Chris, the lights are powered by a USB-rechargeable battery that lasts 4 hours. **Q: Will hanging the front wheel on a wall rack damage these lighrs?** A: Yes it will damage the Revolight due to the gap between rim and revolight ring. I also ran into this problem myself and it forces me to use a floor rack once intstalled. **Q: Will this fit a 700c, 50mm?** A: If the spoke pattern is acceptable for the lights then yes. Call them to find out for sure. **Q: Are the lights especially noticeable when turned off and parked? I live in an area with a high theft rate.** A: Short of if your rims isn't all black. My rims is black so are the Revolight rim but when you look closer at it then yeah you can tell it's on the rims. Yes there are other visibility improvers out there for a fraction of the price but they make you look like a lump of rainbow unicorn shit at night! When I ride at night I now have no fear of vehicles clipping me or not seeing me and as a driver I understand that cyclists all begin to look like each other with the one or two leds. But now everyone gives me such a wide berth and at junctions people will literally stop and let you out just to figure out why a Tron Light Bike just rolled past. I have had so many people stop me and ask where i got them as 'we seen you from a mile off'.
