A+ Review: Excellent consumer unit - Really good consumer unit , easy to wire up . I have this connected (spur off ) to a kitchen mains ring which is already protected from a mains consumer unit . I have installed this in the kitchen cupboard which provides power to the garden outdoor lighting , 4x outdoor mains sockets, swimming pool pump and a jacuzzi .. Installation was a breeze and took less then 30 mins .. The mcb's are pre-fitted so it just meant connecting the incoming power connections and then running the 16amp mcb for mains sockets and the 6amp for lighting . Overall really good unit , good value for money and would highly recommend . ## Features - IP55 rated enclosure with latching lid. What you dont get with the garage kit is an earth buzz bar so you will need a large connector block to connect the earths from your outputs back to the main fuseboard (all commoned) then simply wire out from fusebox 1.5mm cable to lighting circuits and 2.5mm cable to power circuits, after all these connections have been made connect 10mm cable to a new circuit breaker in main house fusebox (red to circuit breaker, black to negative buzz bar, green/yellow to earth buz bar. **Q: Is the RCD in this box active or passive?** A: Active or passive: always active however, if you mean do they trip on loss of power, then these units normally do not; normally an RCD protected socket can trip on loss of power and require resetting but this is not always the case. **Q: Will this unit work for a Campervan conversion** A: I am not sure, this unit as far as I am aware is for 240 volt with a separate earth stake, maybe the supplier or an electrician would be the best ones to ask. **Q: The picture shows, a 6amp, 16amp and a 32 amp, yet the description makes no reference to a 32 MCB can anyone clarify.** A: Hi Dave,As the description does not match the illustration, I think it's likely that the supplier has uploaded the wrong image and you will only receive a two MCB unit. If you need a three MCB unit look elsewhere, or see what else the company has available.
