All it needs is the driver. So long as your program is able to find the scanner, and send it a scan request, then it should be able to. I've only used GraphicsGale, but it's always worked for me. **Q: Can it scan direct to a usb flash drive or card?** A: Yes. **Q: can the scanner be set up for multiple computers or only one?** A: It connects via a USB port. If it on a network, this is possible. I bought this so that I could scan letters etc and keep a copy on my PC. Does the job well with some decent software supplied. Scans quickly and allows you to scan several docs one after the other without having to use the mouse. Only reservation is that, if you want to scan photos, the result is less than perfect.
