Instead of being sundried after harvest, the fresh roots are immediately cleaned, ground into a pulp and low temperature dried to produce a powder, which is then gelatinized to dissolve most starch content. This careful and quick handling preserves more vital ents of the Maca roots and makes for a significantly more potent product. Gelatinized Premium Maca is easier to digest than a Raw Maca powder making it suitable for the majority of people. It takes about 4 kg of Raw Maca roots to produce 1 Kg of Gelatinized Maca powder, making it more concentrated than Raw Maca. Our Premium Maca powder contains a combination of about 30% Red, 40% Yellow and 30% Black Maca roots.
