The Amazon one is sturdier. I heard that older moleskins were better but this is my first so idk. I use a fine to medium fountain pen and I prefer the paper in the Amazon notebook. **Q: Is the paper fountain pen friendly?** A: Reading responses from 2 years ago and want to update. They must have started off using better quality stock than they do now. This paper is NOT fountain pen friendly. It is very thin. Even if you tried to put a spare sheet behind the page you’re writing on, it’s still going to bleed through the back. So you won’t be able to write front-and-back on every page. Hopefully that makes sense. I’ve used a lot of different types of paper and honestly, this is literally (not misusing that word) the worst paper in a notebook that I’ve purchased in at least the past 20 years. **Q: Will sharpies bleed through?** A: Sharpies are alcohol ink and will bleed through just about all paper. **Q: 240 individual sheets of paper or 240 front to back (so 120 sheets)?** A: 120 sheets. 240 when counting both sides. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's OK *by K***. on 2 January 2026* Decent quality, good price ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very handy *by O***A on 14 December 2025* Very sturdy, good page count, feel and color. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Notebook though a little Expensive for what it is *by L***N on 1 April 2023* I bought this notebook as a one-off purchase as a treat to myself after using cheap £1 jotter books for numerous years. (Along with a new fountain pen, an upgrade to cheap ballpoints). I like the built in page marker and elastic closing that is handy for attaching your pen to. The paper is only 10msg higher quality however this makes a markable difference which is definitely worth the upgrade . I admit the lack of a margin put me off at first though I seem to be able to keep myself aligned. I use this for a fountain pen and please to report there is minimal (if any) feathering and it does not bleed through the page. For the full price of near £7-£8, this is too expensive however.
