You do need the hub. **Q: I already have a zigbee 3 hub can't i use that one? or does this have to have the aquara hub** A: Unless you have Home Assistant, you will need to get the Aqara Hub I'm afraid. Although Aqara use Zigbee it doesn't always play nicely. The T1 Pro is supposed to be Matter compliant soon once it receives a firmware upgrade so you may not need a hub in the future. **Q: Will this work with Aqara smart hub E1?** A: Yes it will, I'm using it with the E1 **Q: Are the indicators raised, so blind people can feel which side is which?** A: Unfortunately, the numbers are not raised.
