Thank you** A: I descale the kettle first then pour it down the loo and leave for as long as possible. I use 1 or 2 tablespoons in a half full kettle. Does a great job twice! **Q: Can this product be used in Hot Water Dispensers and does the product include instructions** A: Hi we use it through our one cup hot cup machine and our coffee machine. It has to go in hot/boiling water to work properly, so we boil and pour it in a cup, then pour the cup of water in the water part of the machine. Brew as normal a few times using the water with the citric acid in. Then we run two to three whole cycles (6 cups) with water to clean it out. Overall, very good! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheapest way to descale a kettle *by A***R on 4 October 2023* Bought to descale my kettle because we live in a hard water area. As well as being pretty economical, citric acid is great for this and works just as well as other products which are more chemically in nature. It really is just a matter of boiling half a kettle of water, adding the crystals and waiting for half an hour or so, then rinsing/boiling several times. Voila, a nice shiny kettle! The only issue I've had is that the crystals absorb even the slightest moisture from the atmosphere so that the box ends up unpleasant and damp, which is why I've deducted a star. This doesn't seem to affect the effectiveness of the citric acid at all. Next time I'll just put the whole box into a plastic storage container as soon as I receive it which should solve the problem.
