(Orange, Plum, Peach and Apple). The fact that the balls are black makes it hard to see whether or not the roots are starting to build, but that's kind of obvious from the get-go. They work well, I didn't have any failures with the root balls getting started. I know some reviews stated they had to use the zipties to keep the balls shut, but mine were fine with just the hinge that is built into the grow ball. The only thing I'd say is leave a little divot in the soil at the top of the ball to ensure that you can easily water it. If you dont leave a little bit of room the water will take forever to actually drain down into the root ball. Review: These are kind of hard to use, as the soil/rooting medium falls out when you're trying to place it around the branch. Be nice if there were some instructions, with helpful tips on usage.
