I did order another one from an equally 'big name' manufacturer, but the seller cancelled my order for some inexplicable reason - their loss. After researching similar products, I found there were many listed, which claimed to work with the MacOS system, but reviews suggested many problems. I finally found this one, which the reviews seemed to validate that the device worked well with the Mac system. I must admit, however, that some reviews were not so complimentary in some respects about the Boscon, and I was worried about trusting a brand unknown to me up to this point. Well I can say that I have no worries now. The Boscon DVD Writer worked with my MacBook Pro immediately on connection. The laptop recognised the disc writer without any issues. The device performed quickly and flawlessly to write a DVD with a one-hour video recording and the disc ejected automatically at the end of the writing process, so my initial concern that the lack of an Eject button on the device might be a problem was groundless. I have also since used the device to play back movies, which it does equally flawlessly, and the Mac allows me to eject the disc using the Finder application, so no issues there either.
