Review: Great Cruise Control Device for Motorcycles - I bought this throttle lock for my motorcycle to use on long trips. It works with friction to lock the throttle where your want it. It comes with four friction pads, so it should work on just about any motorcycle. It is high quality, made of medal and is easy to install. It's not cheaply priced, but at just under $170 it should work within any budget. The hardest part of installing was determining which friction pad to use. Just watch the videos that are available, and installation will be a breeze. I installed mine in less than an hour. It is also easy to use. Just use your thumb to engage, or disengage. It's not meant for use in city riding where there is a lot of changing gears, but it is great once you're cruising out on the open road. I recommend this product to others.

I contacted Atlas and asked if they would do an exchange. They emailed me prepaid postage and I shipped mine back. The turn around time after they received the one I sent them was about a day. All told it took less than two weeks to do the exchange and it went smoothly with no hassle. I was very pleased with the customer service. The product itself seems to be of a high quality build. The instillation instructions are clear and work as they are written. I believe there are also videos available online. The product is very well engineered both in terms of instillation and operation. Once you figure out the correct friction pad to use the instillation only takes a few minutes and it operates as a fairly simple friction lock. It does a good job of holding the throttle in place and can easily be twisted back to off in an emergency without needing to turn the lock off. I rarely write reviews, but this product impressed me enough that I decided it deserved it. I will note one thing to watch out for when installing. The instructions say to use the largest friction pad that will fit. However you need to test it and make sure that if you twist the throttle on it will snap all the way back as long as the lock is off. On my instillation a small rubber seam on the throttle housing was just enough to catch on the friction pad and prevent the throttle from snapping back. It was easily fixed by using a smaller pad. This was barely worth noting, but I suppose if someone was in a rush and didn't test it properly it could cause a problem.

**Q: Works on stock 06 honda shadow aero?**
A: Installed on a 2001 Shadow Ace. I didn't think it worked very well at locking the throttle. It did kind of work for a while then it flew off of the bike on a trip back from the Dragon. Even if I used thread locker on the mounting screws it still did not work that great. Especially for the big $$$ I paid.

**Q: Will this work for a 2019 Can Am Ryker?**
A: Hello! Yes, it will absolutely work. We have confirmed fitment of the Top and Bottom Kits on the 2019 Can Am Ryker. 

If you have a heated grip wire on the top of the grip flange, then order the Bottom Kit. If the heated grip wire is on the bottom of the grip flange, then order the Top Kit. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

**Q: Does this work for a 2021 Yamaha my-07?**
A: Yes it does! Either the Top Kit or the Bottom Kit will mount and function, but some bikes of this model might have tight fuel tank clearance when turning the bars to the right. You will want to check fuel tank clearance by rotating the bars full right, then measuring from the fuel tank to the base of the plastic throttle tube in between the rubber grip flange and the throttle cable housing. The measurement needs to be at least 1.5" (38mm) for a Bottom Kit to fit without contacting the fuel tank. If you don't have the space, choose the Top Kit. Let us know if you have any questions!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Needs better instructions - otherwise works great

Expensive, but it works great, after you figure out how to install it. The trick to getting it on correctly. is to understand how it works and where the pressure point is. Uses a tork screw (comes with the wrench) for installation and post adjustments .. so don't lose it! This is my third set .. for my (3) bikes. I've tried cheaper models, only to almost wreck my motorcycle when they don't release properly or blow my wrist out fighting the throttle.
